The group arrives in Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim, where our tour coordinators welcome them warmly. After check-in and freshening up, students participate in an orientation session introducing them to the Himalayan geography, Sikkim’s unique biodiversity, and cultural heritage. The afternoon includes a visit to the Enchey Monastery and a walk through MG Marg, allowing students to observe local lifestyles and architecture. Dinner is followed by a reflection session, and the group spends the first night in Gangtok.

After breakfast, the day begins with a visit to the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology where students learn about Tibetan Buddhism, culture, and history. The tour then proceeds to the Himalayan Zoological Park and the Orchid Sanctuary, offering hands-on learning about endangered species and plant conservation. Post-lunch, students visit the Rumtek Monastery and learn about Sikkim’s religious traditions. The evening includes group activities focused on environmental education before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Following breakfast, the group travels to Darjeeling by road, enjoying the picturesque landscapes of the eastern Himalayas. Upon arrival, students check in to their accommodation and rest briefly. The afternoon is dedicated to visiting a tea estate and factory, where students learn about tea cultivation, processing, and the economics of this globally important crop. The day ends with a leisurely stroll around Darjeeling’s Chowrasta and Mall Road, followed by dinner and overnight stay.

An early morning trip to Tiger Hill offers spectacular views of the sunrise over the Kanchenjunga peak, fostering appreciation for natural wonders. Returning to Darjeeling, students visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park to explore mountaineering history and study Himalayan wildlife. After lunch, the group visits the Peace Pagoda and the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre to learn about local cultures and refugee rehabilitation efforts. Evening cultural activities and discussions round off the day before dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, the group checks out and proceeds to the airport or railway station for their onward journey. Before departure, a brief closing session is held where students share their experiences and key learnings from the trip. The tour ends with students having gained rich insights into Himalayan geography, ecology, culture, and history, leaving them inspired and informed.
